Children’s Classes and Workshops

Arts on Main offers a variety of children’s classes where children can learn through a hands on experience with different mediums, techniques, and styles. While some classes are designed to focus on a specific technique or medium, other classes incorporate an art history component. Whether students are learning about how to use tools and materials or how famous artists have influenced the world of art, each class is created so that students not only develop a sense of understanding art processes but feel empowered to express themselves creatively while developing a foundation of knowledge in art.

Seniors Program
The Seniors Program at this time serves residents of senior facilities in our community. The lessons will focus on tuning fine motor skills while experimenting with a variety of media. This program is provided at no cost to the students and is funded by donations and grants.
“CRIT” Sessions
The fourth Tuesday of each month, bring your current work to get a critique. Are you stuck in the middle of a painting? Would fresh eyes help? Do you want to learn more about composition or color balancing? We help each other improve. Sign up with Kathy Klein ([email protected]) to get on the email reminder list. 10am – 12pm Cost: Free
Open Studio
If you enjoy painting with company and getting good advice, bring your art and supplies and paint with us every Friday afternoon from 12pm-2pm. Open Studio is free and open to the public.
