ARTLab Breakout with Tenley Raithel

Ages 10-13

These classes will focus on the Principles of Design.

Students will consider the blend of abstract and realism in the artwork of abstract expressionists and those considered color field artists. Color field paintings have the goal of expressing the artist’s state of mind or inner emotions by creating tension within the painting with overlapping and interacting colors. Using bold colors and spontaneity, students will experiment with color, using repetition, contrast, and emphasis to express themselves in their art.

Supplies will be provided by the instructor. Students can bring a snack and drink.

Cost is $25 per student.
