Get creative. Learn how to paint. Have fun!

Color Your Canvas KIDZ is an ongoing monthly kids paint class at Arts on Main with Christina Micket. In this class we learn the basics of painting and have fun doing it! These creative sessions are a great way for kids ages 5-12 yrs to spend a Saturday morning.

In November we are painting a cute squirrel among the fall leaves as he harvests his acorns for the winter!

Classes are $15 per child, which includes all materials, instruction and a snack. Classes fill quickly and are limited to 25 participants. Please sign up by 5pm the day prior.

Instagram post 2197651284640057395_2311450711 The sounds of the season filled the gallery tonight as the Page Middle School Select Choir, and additional solo acts, performed for their parents and the community! Thank you to all who came out in support of these amazing young talents. We were completely blown away by the amount of talent that can be found here on the Middle Peninsula and we’re honored to support it in any way we can. We have a number of programs that will be available for teens, in 2020, that will support the development of skills in both the visual and musical arts. Have a teen who might be interested? Sign up to receive our newsletters to find out when the programs launch by visiting our website: gloucesterarts.org

Instagram post 2195409761718459626_2311450711 Did you know that Mongolian sheep herders create felt coverings for their Yurts from the wool of their sheep? Or that mushrooms make amazing canvases for painting? Neither did we until we spent time talking with a few of the artists from our Artful Giving show during the Holiday Open House yesterday! If you missed this event we’ll have plenty of opportunities in 2020 to interact with incredible artists and artist/educators. To keep up with us head over to our website and sign up to receive our newsletter or continue following along on social media! Special thanks to @flyingcowcreations and @artyqueue and others who spent their Sunday with us sharing their work, and knowledge of their art, with the kids and our community! We truly appreciate your time and talents!
