Lesson One. Still Life with Pencil

Thursday, September 22

4:30pm-6:00pm

Artist, Alicia Daily, will be teaching drawing classes at Arts on Main that are open to beginners and masters alike, of all ages. Classes will be held every other Thursday from 4:30pm-6:00pm, starting on Thursday, September 22. Materials will be provided by the instructor. Students will be creative together learning new drawing skills, experimenting with materials, and develop their own style. Anyone is welcome to join one or all classes- students are not required to attend all classes in order to participate.

September 22: Lesson 1.  Still life in pencil.  We will learn some basic methods and skills to help us draw what we see or wish to express.

October 6: Lesson 2. Drawing with color.  We will use Prismacolor pencils to learn some basic color theory while we draw from still life. Registration Deadline: Tuesday, October 4 @ 5pm

October 20: Lesson 3. Creating Dimension in drawing.  We will experiment with conte crayons while we study modeling, shading and shadows capturing form and 3 dimensions. Registration Deadline: Tuesday, October 18 @ 5pm

November 3: Lesson 4. Drawing basics review and free choice day of all the materials. Registration Deadline: Tuesday, November 1 @5pm

November 17: Lesson 5.  Pen and Ink. Registration Deadline: Tuesday, November 15 @5pm

Cost for each class is $35 + $5 material fee per student.
