Arts on Main has come a long way since Founder, Kay Van Dyke, first opened the doors in 2011. We want to continue to celebrate our metamorphosis by featuring the work of the many artists whose work has been displayed here over the past ten years. These are individual classes, not a series of classes. Learn the wonder and joy of working with glass! Initially you will get the feel for the heat by sitting & making two objects, a glass flower and paper weight. Working dexterity while reading heat, along with the excitement of something so different, keeps you very busy. Repeat students will move on to more advanced techniques and projects. Join weaver, Janet Griffin, for a foray into the fiber arts through Cardboard Loom Weaving. Over the course of four hours, Janet will show you everything you need to know in order to create a beautiful, woven pouch using a cardboard loom that you can recreate at home! Arts on Main is proud to offer a wide variety of classes and workshops for both Children & Adults. Among these are Color Your Canvas Kidz, Summer Camps, After School Enrichment Programs, “Crit” Sessions, Open Studio, Paint Your Own Pottery and many more.
