Arts on Main is pleased to introduce our new program, Studio 101! This program was created for our 4–6-year old community artists. During each class, children will be introduced to different art mediums while learning about art techniques, processes, and artists. Each student must be accompanied by an adult (Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, etc.) who will stay with them during the class to help their child when needed. This program is a great way to introduce your child to art while making artwork and memories together!
In this Studio 101 class, students will create one-of-a-kind sculptures using Dale Chihuly’s work as inspiration. All materials will be provided by the instructor.
Registration deadline: Thursday, January 20 @ 5:00pm
Cost is $25 per student.
About the Instructor
Blair Waters has an Art Education degree from Winthrop University in South Carolina. She is a former middle school art teacher but has experience in Pre-K-12th grade. Blair is a mother of 3, a military spouse, and our very own Gallery Coordinator at Arts on Main. She has been creating art since before she entered grade school. Blair believes that children should be exposed to and involved in art at a young age. Teaching children how to create at a young age will give them a creative outlet to express themselves in the future.
