The MPFAA & Arts on Main invite you to A Gallery Talk
with Lynn Mehta

Alexandria, VA artist, Lynn Mehta presents the story of her artistic journey and experience as the first Arts on Main Artist in Residency, sponsored by the Cook Foundation.
The Middle Peninsula Fine Arts Association (MPFAA) hosts this free event and invites the public to attend. Ms. Mehta’s presentation begins at 8 pm, February 21st, at Arts on Main in Gloucester, VA. She will explain her process of seeing as an artist, gathering visual information, and translating her impressions into works on canvas. She will share her sources of inspiration and influences that have guided her throughout her career.

The MPFAA issues a special invitation to the public, to make advanced reservations to attend the 6 pm meet-the-artist reception with dinner following at 7 pm. The cost is $21 for the dinner, per guest and the free presentation by Lynn Mehta follows at 8 pm. No advanced reservations are necessary for the free presentation.

Ms. Mehta is a highly accomplished, award winning landscape and plein air painter and teacher. Her paintings, recognized for their thick, lustrous paint with loose impressionistic brushstrokes, currently hang at Arts on Main and at Stewart Gallery in Gloucester. She is a signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists and member of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association in addition to other juried professional organizations. She is an award winning participant in Plein Air events across the country. Her long list of awards include 2nd place at Paint Main 2.5 during the 2017 Gloucester Arts Festival quick draw event.
